The Pink Blanket

The Pink Blanket project started off as a mission to use up some of my Stylecraft Special DK scraps (all leftovers from other projects).
This is another Granny Square project.
I narrowed it down to these five colours: Fondant, Lavender, Clematis, Magenta and Sherbet. These will make up the Granny Squares, but I also added Cream as the contrast/joining colour.
The Granny Square Pattern is available as a written or a video tutorial.
- Make up each Granny Square with your chosen colours up to include round 5.
- I made a three different square combinations.
- Square A – Magenta, Sherbet, Fondant, Lavender and Clematis (9 squares)
- Square B – Clematis, Fondant, Lavender, Sherbet and Magenta (8 squares)
- Square C – Lavender, Clematis, Sherbet, Magenta and Fondant (8 squares)
- A total of 25 squares.

Round 4
2. Then add a 6th round using a contrast colour (Cream in my example).

All 25 squares completed. I decided on how the squares were to be arranged.
I joined the squares using the ‘join-as-you-go’ method.

Once the squares were all joined I decided to add a simple border.
The pattern for the border was the same as that used on the Dolphin Blue Blanket and the Pastel Rainbow Granny Squares Blanket.
I was guided by how much yarn I had left from the colours I started with, but you could use any you like.
