Stylecraft Special DK Rainbow Colour Combinations

Rainbow colours are so beautiful and, for a lot of people, they are the go-to colour palette. Here are a few Stylecraft Special DK rainbow colour combinations that I love.

I will start with the pastel rainbow – where I have put together the wonderful combinations of:

  • Candyfloss
  • Apricot
  • Lemon
  • Spring Green
  • Sherbet
  • Wisteria
  • Clematis

I used this colour palette for this Granny Stripe Blanket below.

For these beautiful Granny Squares below I used this colour palette, but omitted Clematis.

The next palette is a brighter and more vivid version using:

  • Pomegranate
  • Clementine
  • Citron
  • Pistachio
  • Spearmint
  • Lavender
  • Magenta

A slight variation of this is the following palette, where Clementine is switched for Shrimp, Lavender for Wisteria and Turquoise for Sherbet.

In the Rainbow Baby Blanket I omitted the wisteria and went with the six colours:

  • Six yarn pegs with rainbow colours
  • A giant granny square made with rainbow colours

The next palette is a more traditional rainbow palette using:

  • Lipstick
  • Spice
  • Saffron
  • Grass Green
  • Aster
  • Proper Purple
  • Boysenberry

My final suggestion is a more muted, vintage combination of the following:

  • Claret
  • Tomato
  • Buttermilk
  • Cypress
  • Storm Blue
  • Grape
  • Plum
