I love this blanket and it definitely one for me to keep. I love the wonderful bright and cheerful colours. Best of all, it matches my new sofa perfectly. The blanket is based on the traditional Granny Square, which is a firm favourite of mine. A total of 81 squares are joined using the wonderful red joining colour. You can easily make the blanket bigger or smaller by adjusting the number of squares you make. I added some tassels in each corner to give it boho vibe, but this is optional. You can find more details and the free pattern here.

I loved making this blanket. It has a retro colour vibe which looked better and better as the throw grew. Please find the written details on how to make this here.

I added tassels to this throw to give it a boho feel and seems to finish this off nicely. This is the second throw where I have added tassels and now I want to add them to every blanket or throw.

Sea Urchin Granny Square Blanket
This week I have been working on this Sea Urchin Granny Square Blanket. Ice Yarns sent me some of their yarn from their Saver range and this is what I came up with. The yarn is lovely to work with – it is soft and there was no splitting or joins. I loved the colours – and the yarn was thicker than I usually work with (it was Aran weight) – it was such a joy to work with that it felt strange going back to my usual double knit.
The written pattern for this blanket is available on the Ice Yarn Designer website here.

Autumn Granny Square
I have just finished this beautiful granny square blanket. I have to admit that this has turned out to be one of my favourite blankets that I have made. The colours are not my usual palette – but have turned out to work so well together that I have now been converted.

Denim Pastels
