Well I have finally finished my Granny Hexagon Blanket. As promised, I have now provided details on I make crochet Granny Hexagons, half hexagons and quarter hexagons – please find the pattern/details here.
My next task is to write up a few more details on how I put my Granny Hexagon blanket together. More updates soon.
I haven’t written a post for a while, apologies for this. I have been really busy working on some different projects, and also family life also was busy.
I thought I would give you little taster of what is coming on my blog shortly.
Granny Hexagons have been taking up a lot of my time lately. I basically wanted to make a Granny Square blanket but made up of Granny Hexagons. I have used Stylecraft Special DK, which can be purchased here.
I have had to work out how to make half a granny hexagon – and this is more complicated than it sounds because to have straight edges to this blanket there are two different types of half granny hexagons. Notice from the picture above that the half hexagons along the sides are going to be different from the ones at the top and bottom (which I have not done yet – you can see where these need to go by my stickers).
Anyway my plan is write this all up and have this on my blog shortly.
I have also worked on a simple granny square in between time, which requires a bit less thought. Again, I used Stylecraft Special DK, which can be purchased here.
Hope to update more on these projects soon.
