I love these Stylecraft Chunky yarn colours together and they work up well in cushion cover. The chunky yarn seems to give a beautiful stitch definition and seems to work perfectly with the herringbone half treble stitch.
Find the full pattern here.
This pattern is for a 50cm x 50cm cushion but can easily be adapted to whatever size cushion you desire. It is super simple to make. Suitable for a beginner.
I used a 6mm hook.
I have been playing around with a few different granny squares, motifs and blocks this week. I have been looking to make a granny star for a while as I love the visual effect. You will be able to find many different patterns and tutorials on the internet for granny squares. Like granny squares, everyone has their own favourite and different ways to make these.
If you are interested in how I have made my granny square please find the written pattern here.
I hope that you find it useful.
