This week I have been working on a ‘corner-to-corner’ moss stitch blanket……and I love it. I felt I needed a break from granny squares and this was perfect.

I found several tutorials online explaining how to to a ‘corner-to-corner’ moss stitch, but essentially it is really easy.
The rows are worked on the bias, starting in the corner.

The beautiful thing about this C2C moss stitch is that it gives the work lovely drape.
I used Stylecraft Special DK and I cannot believe how soft this yarn is when worked in this stitch.
You can purchase this yarn here.

I usually use a 3.5mm hook when I work with Stylecraft Special DK, so it was a treat for me to go up a size to 4.5mm for this project to ensure that the work is not too tight.

I have now finished the corner-to-corner part and now I have decide what border to do. I don’t think that much of a border is needed, so I think I might just add a small border, maybe in cream.
I will get back to you with the finished blanket and more details on how I made this.
