Amethyst Granny Square

This week I have been working on this Amethyst Granny Square Blanket which is a giant granny square worked in beautiful purples and greens.

I love these colours so much – they are Stylecraft Special DK in White, Graphite, Aspen, Magenta, Clematis, Wisteria and Lavender.

Beginning the Amethyst Granny Square Blanket with the first 8 rounds

The pattern is based on a traditional granny square and is a seven row repeat.

I wanted this to be a giant granny square, so I think this will be around 50 rounds (I am aiming for approximately 100-110cm wide).

A few more rounds to go then I will start the border. Not sure what border to do yet, I was thinking that I might go with an all white border (but we will see).
